CRUCIFIED was a young quintet born in León (Spain) late in 1994. After showing their strenght & powerful sound in merely two or three shows, they received several offers to record their first CD and chose DCL Records (record laber from León) and recorded in Digital Audio studios in the capilal of their hometown. Thus, in mddle of 1996, saw the light “Time Of Darkness”, with a great musical strength.
Originally, the band was formed by Alberto Larrosa (lead vocals), Miguel A. Redondo (rythm guitar), Alberto Méndez (lead guitar), Ramón García (bass) & Alberto Monje (drums). At the begining and after a few months a new lead guitar, Javier Díaz, joined the band due to Alberto Méndez departure because of personal reasons, although Alberto continued supporting the band in both some concerts and the CD recording. Crucified shared stage with bands as Nopresion, Terremotors, Beer Mosh & Koma, quite relevant in spanish metal scene, and succeded to play in front of 2.500 fans in a huge and unforgetable show.

INFLUENCES
The band music style, although has a clear personal style, can be labelled as thrash metal with certain details that remind to death-metal. Bands that influenced the band from León are, Overkill, Xentrix, Sepultura, Sabbat or Pantera, as the own members admit.

TIME OF DARKNESS
Regarding the musical aspect, the first CRUCIFIED work consists of 10 formidable band original themes, plus one short introduction. Both, the CD booklet —one of the best in the national heavy scene at those days—, and the lyrics —all in english— added to the press-specialized excellent reviews, let to think that this young but experienced band had a brilliant future in front of them. The first CD was marketed also in another countries throughout Europe.

In this work we can emphasize really brilliant songs as for instance ‘Who Is The Animal?’ (¡¡outstanding!!) or ‘Sarajevo’ and ‘Tale Of Horror’, more close those last two, to the new songs that the band intended to record in their second album.

FUTURE
CRUCIFIED, in early 1997 and with new bass player (Sergio Santos), had planned to film their first video-clip (‘Who Is The Animal?’), play some concerts all over Spain, and go into the studio for their second album, but after the lead vocals left the band and due to some problems to find a place for rehersals, decided to put and end to the band until today.
